Methodology
Obtaining a set of the structural layout plans and understanding structural systems and layouts is key prior to inspection. This allows identifying of critical areas for investigation prior to a visual inspection. The inspection report will conclude general information of the building, structural systems, areas not covered by the visual inspection and reasons why. The structural investigation report will conclude on the structural conditions, addition and alterations done, structural defects, damage, distress, deterioration and deformation as well as the integrity and stability of the structure.
